5K Tiger Run And Kids’ Fun Run
Hiwassee College is holding a 5K Tiger Run and Kids’ Fun Run to benefit CASA Monroe. The Tiger Run is part of the Schedule of Events planned for this year’s Homecoming, November 16, 17 & 18.
Hiwassee College will hold its 5K Tiger Run and Kids’ Fun Run on November 17 as part of its 2012 Homecoming activities. The Run is open to all members of the community and everyone is encouraged to participate. All proceeds earned from the event will go to support CASA Monroe. Alisa Hobbs, Executive Director of CASA Monroe, stated, “I am excited to be partnering with Hiwassee College for this event. It will be a lot of fun for the whole community and the funds raised are going to support a great cause. Everyone is invited to come out and run, walk, or skip to help raise funds for CASA Monroe.”
The Tiger Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the Kid’s Fun Run will start at 8:05 a.m. Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. at the flagpoles in front of the Barker Learning Center on the Hiwassee College campus. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed by calling the Hiwassee College Advancement Office at 423-420-1222 or by visiting the website at www.hiwassee.edu and following the link to the 5K Tiger Run. A commemorative T-shirt will be given to everyone who pre-registers by November 9. The cost for the event is $15 for adults and $8 for kids in advance or $20 for adults and $12 for kids at the starting line.
