Parents and coaches posed for pictures with Loudon High School graduate Taylor Weaver recently as she signed a Letter of Intent to play softball at Hiwassee College, located in Madisonville, TN. Weaver has traded in her Redskins uniform for one with the Hiwassee College Tigers and will play under the direction of Coach Junior Johnson. Johnson remarked, “Taylor has played third base for the last couple of years on her high school team. She was the cleanup hitter, so we’re expecting her to step in and provide some needed power.”
Weaver is honored to be playing college softball, especially at Hiwassee College. In an interview, she stated, “I am so excited to be continuing my education as a Hiwassee Tiger. My motto has been, ‘go big or go home,’ so I’m grateful for this opportunity!”
Weaver’s parents are happy their daughter will be playing for Hiwassee College. Her mother, Amy Weaver, stated, “Taylor continues to make us proud! I know she will work hard, play hard, and have fun.”
